I am currently contributing to the Hello Ruby Education project, inspired by the Hello Ruby book series. My role involves crafting innovative curriculum solutions aimed at empowering teachers to effectively impart coding and computational skills to students ranging from kindergarten to primary years.

As part of the Instructional design team at LEAD, I create and deliver highly innovative and learner-centered e-learning materials across various content domains. My primary responsibilities encompass:- Developing and reviewing educational content tailored to meet the learning requirements of K-10 students nationwide and across different school boards.- Mentoring and coaching team members to enhance the quality of their instructional content.- Facilitating seamless cross-functional collaboration with subject matter experts (SMEs), external vendors, artists, and the production team.- Planning resources and effectively managing projects to ensure successful completion.- Conducting research, designing, and implementing training programs internally to address the team's learning and development needs.- Recruiting and onboarding new team members.

- Conducted a case study research on Project-based learning in science aspart of Master's thesis partly funded by Luma centre, Finland- The Master's thesis on Project-based learning in science education was recognized as the best master's thesis of the term by the Finnish mathematics and science education research association (FMSERA)- Finalising manuscript for submission in a peer-reviewed academic journal

- Chaired the meetings of the subcommittee for development cooperation - Managed the budget and social media platform for the subcommittee- Key projects during the year: The fair trade project, the partnership with Nepal project

- Developed a STEAM curriculum continuum to be implemented in India inspired by the Finnish curriculum framework.

- Collaborated in planning and conducting Coding classes from grade 1 to 7- Collaborated with the science teacher in conducting Project managementclasses for grade 5 students

- Designed and implemented a creative writing module for 5th graders

As a fellow at Teach for India, I taught 48 mindblowing 3rd and 4th-grade students for 2 years at a government school in India. By working at the grassroots level, my understanding of the reality of the Indian Public education system grew deeper. The fact that 90% of my 3rd-grade students were unable to read a 3 letter word and could not identify simple shapes said a lot about the kind of education they were receiving until that point. Some among the various efforts I put in to deliver quality education to my students were:-Integration of STEM education in a curriculum to build 21st-century skills such as collaboration, creativity, critical thinking and communication in my students. -A school-wide TED-Ed club that ended with students sharing their 'ideas worth spreading' in a TED-style talk. - Setting up a parents association to ensure that the parents are invested as well as well informed about their children and their future prospects. -Developed and implemented a progressive curriculum that was deeply integrated with value education. The children learned about big topics such as gender stereotypes, poaching of elephant tusks and many such social issues. -Facilitated in helping students develop their leadership skills by forming committees to solve real-life problems in our school. - Integrated Arts with education. The students put up a play on 'saving our rivers' in an art even called Dramebaaz and won the 3rd place. -On identifying that each student learns at his/her own pace, I consciously and consistently differentiated my lessons in class, this was a turning point in getting my students to be invested in class and in their education.

-Developed an English curriculum guide -Mentored students in the senior year of College to pass the TOEFL and TOEIC exams.-Developed engaging and creative lesson plans to teach Spoken English to students in the primary grades. -Trained teachers in classroom engagement and behavior management

On identifying the need for kids to have formal arts education I along with few other volunteers initiated an Arts project in Bangalore. Starting from the curriculum planning to pitching the idea to HMs of various government schools we took care of it all and the project finally came to life in October 2015.

Working in a startup and under some very motivational individuals broadened my vision as to how the startup culture is booming in India. As a intern in MineWhat I worked under various segments. Here are some areas I worked in:-Complete responsibility of the Lead generation and management process.-Quality assurance of the tool.-Understanding a given E-commerce business and relating the usability of the tool to the business and pitching the same to the business owners.-Creative content development.

Being the Head of Media and Publicity team of Daksh OCTA, the 8th annual techno-management fest of SASTRA University, opened doors to many new learning opportunities as this was my first hand experience as a leader of a group of 20 passionate team members. My 1 year as the head of the team was one of the most challenging, yet a very successful and enjoyable year. We came up with many creative ideas to publicize the fest, both online and offline, to gather as much attention from the crowd not only from our college but also from colleges all over India, we also had a few international participants who took part in our online events.For the first time the fest had a participant count of more than 20,000 people and this was achieved because the team was able to push themselves to do better every day under my guidance. The turn out of the fest was thoroughly appreciated by the Dean, attending guests and other faculty of SASTRA University.
