Shruti Bhargava is a (on parental break) Bain & Company | IIM Calcutta at Bain & Company. She is proficient in Hindi and English. Colleagues describe her as "It was a real pleasure to work directly with Shruti for almost 45-50 days. She worked as a Pro Bono Consultant with us to help us understand ways in which we can optimize our initial screening processes at the Fellowship Selection Team of Teach For India. Shruti came in with strong skills in strategic thinking and data analysis. She was able to pick up the nature of work we do at Selection within a week. The goal given to Shruti was to come up with ways to improve efficiency and accuracy of the Pre-Reject Stage model. As a result of continuous analysis and persistence, she was able to deliver a potential pilot which can help the team and the organization in saving significant time and resources without adversely impacting the number of Fellows we select. This is a potential win-win situation. Shruti sought feedback from two other team managers to ensure alignment with team goals and presented her work to the team. The Selection team hopes to utilize this work going forward as it is in line with our strategies for the year. Qualities about Shruti which stood out to me were - clarity of thought and action, commitment to the task at hand, high standard of professionalism and ethics, open-mindedness to listen to other points of view and an overall social awareness with the ability to zoom out and look at situations from the bigger picture.
