He commenced his tenure with the organization as an intern during the summer of 2021, subsequently accepting a Pre-placement offer. At Goldman Sachs, Shubham's responsibilities entail conducting comprehensive research on new signals in the domain of factor investing, utilizing both financial and non-financial data to generate alpha. This necessitates proficiently handling and analyzing large-scale datasets, formulating hypotheses, conducting performance testing and backtesting, as well as implementing signals in a production environment. Additionally, his role encompasses Portfolio Management, involving the evaluation of various factors' interactions and attributing portfolio performance within both the factor and stock space.Prior to joining Goldman Sachs, Shubham attained his Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from IIM Bangalore. He also accumulated 37 months of experience at Mastercard, where he held a dual role as a consultant and Analyst. During his tenure, Shubham primarily focused on analyzing Mastercard transactional data and leveraging time series modeling techniques such as ARIMA to forecast retail sales in Hong Kong and sector sales in the United States. Notably, Shubham has demonstrated a profound interest in the blockchain and crypto space, having filed 12 patents, three of which have been granted by the United States Patent Office. Throughout his time at Mastercard, Shubham consistently received an OUTSTANDING rating for three consecutive years and achieved rapid promotions. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur.
