It Support Technician Ii
As an IT Support Technician my duties include all desktop and help desk support needs, coordinating computer imaging, and deploying computer systems using both Symantec Ghost and Altiris. I am also tasked with the deployment, support, and management of mobile devices ranging from smart phones to tablets. I maintain the mobile devices via BES administration for RIM devices and MobileIron for Apple devices and Androids. Due to the rapid changes in mobile technology, I am constantly developing my practical and technical knowledge of new devices and software to provide user education, and stronger customer support. In addition to my Telecom, and Desktop Support Tasks, I also create and implement new security groups, users’ accounts, 3rd party portal accounts, Sharepoint permissions, and shared mailboxes on Domain Controllers and Exchange servers to streamline business communications and needs. I currently support approximately 3000+ remote users nationwide connecting to them using DameWare, Microsoft Lync or Log Me In Rescue. There are also many documentation tasks which I address on a regular basis. Revising Knowledge Base documents is one of my more serious responsibilities as we are currently updating our environment from Windows XP/Office2003/2007 to Windows 7/Office2010. Support for Primavera and Job Track is a large responsibility as well. Among my software support tasks I also address AutoCad needs and upgrades. Lastly, for the purposes of asset management, license management, and procurement, I update and reconcile our company inventory system on a frequent basis. In summary, I perform any and all needed tasks as they are presented to me. I look forward to any and all opportunities to strengthen my skill sets. It Consultant For Tdwilliamson
As an IT Consultant my job was to lead and complete the PST Migration for all sites in the western hemisphere, help desk\desktop support, Windows 7 Upgrade/Deployment, lease replacements, office moves, IP phone setup, shipping, backup tape replacement\install, PC\Laptop imaging using ghost 11, research and procedure documentation, aid in the supervision of other consultants, and Security Management through Active Directory for all users. The PST Migration project relied on a customer service relationship between me and all the end users ranging from high profile end users such as Executives to newly hired staff. This project required the procurement and back up of all .PST files from the local drives and user folders, to a secured location on the eVault Server. The .PSTs were then moved to a new directory on the server to be imported through Symantec Evault and become available to the user in their Outlook mailbox as well as on Outlook Web Access. I also aided with the office remodels, relocating and assisting users as needed. I supported the Windows 7 objectives by imaging workstations, assisting with leased asset procurement, coordinating return shipments to dell, and aiding new Windows 7 users in adjusting to their Windows 7/Office 2007 upgrades.
Field Engineer
As a Field Engineer I was in charge of all IT concerns and issue on the Eastern half of Oklahoma. As a Field Engineer I had to maintain all work orders called into the helpdesk by the end users. I maintained and deployed all hardware required for my customers to perform their job duties. Before new hardware was deployed I applied the base image to the machine using Altiris. I deployed all new printers as well as managed maintenance and firmware upgrades via the Remote User Interface. I was also responsible for basic networking including verifying connectivity back to the switch, and scheduling vendors to install new data and voice lines and terminations. It was my responsibility to act as the Ambassador for Information Technology in the Eastern half of Oklahoma, maintaining and demonstrating a high level of professionalism and exemplary customer service. In addition to my standard duties, I was assigned the management and standardization of all desktop and laptop imaging. I was responsible for asset management and assisting with procurement. I coordinated pc replacements with the IT Purchasing Staff to ensure that the Field Engineers responsible for each site provided proper notification of asset changes to aid in our efforts to have accurate site inventory reports.
It Service Desk
As a Service Desk Technician I served as the first representation of customer service for the IT department for ONEOK and its partner companies. I received calls from the end users and attempted to resolve the issues regardless of whether they were Network, Software, Hardware, Printer (Stand alone or Networked), Cellular Device, or Telephone related. I used VNC or Remote Desktop to shadow the end user’s computer for troubleshooting software issues, failed drive mappings, mapped printer issues, software installations, and general demonstration of functions for the user. Users with laptops would often bring their machines to the service desk to have their hardware issues resolved. When troubleshooting new issues that the Service Desk had not encountered before, it was my responsibility to document the issue, and resolution in the IT Knowledge base for future reference by other technicians.
Soldier/Information Systems Analyst
As a Desktop Technician, I was in charge of maintaining 7000 or more computers at any time. I maintained hardware, software and network per work orders provided by our users.
