I am an experienced MLT with over 5+ years of experience in the healthcare industry. In these years, I have amassed a diverse array of skills related to teaching and training, quality management systems, LIS implementation and method validations. I enjoy working in fast-paced, dynamic environments where I can utilize my multi-tasking skills and troubleshooting abilities. You will always find me learning something new or taking on new projects. I am the lead instructor for the new Medical Laboratory Technologist program at Anderson College, where I help manage student success, teach in a lab and lecture setting, as well as coordinate practicum. The effects of climate change are seen worldwide. Cities, with their infrastructure and dense population, are at higher risk of climate related risks. I worked on a research project which looked into finding strategies for building climate resilient cities. I was able to summarize my findings to recommend seven strategies.
