Requirements management for establishing a unified Data Model for a large US bank which involved, streamlining the data attributes across various data sources onto a standardized data model for various regulatory reports across locations (NAM, APAC, EMEA). This involved Identifying the existing data feeds and the corresponding region specific attributes for every regulatory report , Mapping attributes to different layers of the unified Data Model to cater to region specific report requirements and Authoring data stories to depict the ETL process for loading data attributes to the new unified data Model platformAs a Lead Business analyst I was also involved establishing a unified Regulatory Reporting Platform for a large US Bank which involved, identifying data sources, data elements and rules for every regulatory reporting line item. These were complex reports with multiple reporting schedule involving approximately 300-500 business rules that needed to be assessed manually within a stringent time schedule. This involved Collaborating with multiple client SME’s to ensure coverage of the legacy processes including data elements, sources system feeds, report SLA’s etc, Identify reportable regulatory line items, analyze the existing rules and author new rules based on the standardized data elements, Assess the data mapping of the reporting elements and automate, using excel macros, verification of new rules on production datasets to ensure consistency with current systems.
