I steer a multidisciplinary team of subject matter experts from Columbia, Rutgers and CUNY, NY state and local government, and private sector consultants to plan and develop multi-year online training curricula for the state and local public health workforce on 4 strategic skills: systems thinking, persuasive communication, change management, and policy engagement.

• Working on two FEMA training grants ($1.5 million each) to help learners from communities/small businesses ('whole community' model) across the country foster housing & economic resilience, pre-& post disaster. Deliverables include online course modules and instructor guides for in-person workshops.• Developed training suite (online course with 520+ satisfied online learners to date, workshop guides, resources, informational videos) on ‘Social Media in Emergency Response’, with federal grant from HHS/ASPR. • Creating content (scripting/filming/producing videos, webinars, interactive web tools, reports, infographics, social media, surveys) as needed to support NCDP’s research, policy, and practice. • Nominated by colleagues for 2017 Columbia Earth Institute’s Distinguished Employee of the Year award.

• Designed and executed a Samsung-funded online curriculum for 1st year medical residents ‘Caring for Our Most Vulnerable Children: A Resource for Healthcare Professionals’, with subject matter experts from CHF’s national network of pediatricians. Created 30+ short expert videos, 15 lecture webinars, case studies, scenario activities, and evaluations. • Guided CHF IT team on setting up new open EdX learning management infrastructure.

• Worked on a small team to transform new HIV/AIDS anti-retro viral therapy government guidelines for nurses in Kenya into an interactive massively open online course on EdX, with rapid turnaround and testing.

We received a grant from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to establish the Columbia Regional Learning Center or CRLC, 1 of 14 nationally funded centers. CRLC offers an open online learning management system (Inquisiq platform) with online certificate courses on emergency preparedness/public health topics, as well as other informational webinars and resources for the mid-level public health workforce.• I helped plan new distance learning infrastructure within grant budget to establish the CDC-funded Columbia Regional Learning Center open online learning management system (Inquisiq).• Developed 40+ competencies-based online certificate courses and training materials in public health preparedness and emergency response for mid-level public health professionals, using industry standard tools (Articulate, Camtasia, Adobe). • Ongoing: sole administrator for the learning management system (LMS), while providing phone and email technical support to 21,500+ global learner base.
