•Serve as primary contact with research participants, sponsors, and regulatory agencies. Coordinate studies from start-up through close-out.•Determine eligibility of and gather consent from study participants according to protocol. Assist in developing recruitment strategies.•Coordinate collection of study specimens and processing.•Collect and manage patient and laboratory data for clinical research projects. Manage research project databases, develop flow sheets and other study related documents, and complete study documents/case report forms.•Ensure compliance with research protocols, and review and audit case report forms for completion and accuracy with source documents. Responsible for referral center and staff management for twenty-eight specialties. Direct point of contact for referring and Stanford Children's physicians, and clinical staff. Reviewed and resolved complex referral center cases. Streamlined patient referral workflow and created daily turnaround time reports. Utilized knowledge of inpatient and outpatient programs and services, external referring providers, and physician practice’s needs. Collaborated with referral team to set standards and developed improvement plans. Understanding of commercial and government accounting. Tracked KPIs, reviewed daily accuracy reports, and performed quality assurance audits. Active member of the oversight committees for EPIC, On Base, Right Fax, and MD Portal. Managed IT prioritization of urgent, go live system issues. Created standard workflow design and optimization for EPIC and On Base for Referral Center processes. Partnered with Physician and Patient Partner Relations to promote the adoption of newly implemented external referral submissions via the physician web portal.
