In May 1999 I started at Topshop whilst studying for my A Levels. I trained in store and became a Senior Assistant and assisted the branch manager in the running of the store. In March 2001 I moved to Evans as the deputy store manager where I started management training. In September 2003 I was promoted to Store Manager of Evans in St Albans. This was my opportunity to prove my abilities and turn around a struggling store. I achieved successful sales figures and was promoted to branch manager of High Wycombe in March 2004. Once settled in High Wycombe I began taking on more responsibilities. My store had a major refit and I hosted Model Store, which involved the launch of the new seasons product range. I became the area account motivator and assisted with the running and management of store refits within the area. In January 2006 an opportunity arose to become the store manager of a new branch based on a retail park in Newbury. This was an exciting and new challenge, I was responsible for recruiting and training a new team, project managing the grand opening as well as controlling the stock. The branch became very successful and I decided in June 2007 to secure a role closer to home.
