Roles & Responsibilities:1. Develop new user-facing features.2. Build reusable code and libraries for future use.3. Recommend for front-end technologies.4. Building wireframes and designing UI for customer facing products.Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.5. Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability.6. Collaborate with the back-end team to smoothly integrate front-end code and help troubleshoot issues when needed.7. Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders.

Additional Roles & Responsibilities:1. Leading a team of 11 developers.2. Overseeing all projects that came to the front-end dev team.3. Building upon and improving the front-end dev process.4. Understanding the requirements of clients and collaborating with the UX and UI teams to get the desired output.5. Making sure that all front-end code adhered to the best practices and set standards before it is handed over to the clients/external back-end team.

Roles & Responsibilities:1. Translate Photoshop designs to pixel perfect front-end code.2. Work in the agile process, with daily scrum.3. Writing semantic, accessibility friendly and SEO compliant markup.4. Writing cross-browser and cross device compatible CSS with graceful degradation and progressive enhancement techniques.5. Writing custom Js and jQuery when needed for animations and UI interactions.6. Understanding the requirements of clients and collaborating with the UX and UI teams to get the desired output.7. Interacting with external back-end teams and client's dev teams to ensure that the front-end code we write integrates seamlessly with their workflow.8. Interpreted and executed designs correctly as requested by clients.Initiatives:1. Setting up a well structured process and development guidelines from ground up for the front-end dev team. This included coming up with: a) Suitable front-end architecture for markup and styles. b) Suitable naming convention for easily maintaining CSS codebases. c) Setting up a peer-review process. d) Code collaboration guidelines using(Git and GitLab). e) Browser compatibility testing guidelines, bug tracking/client feedback changes guidelines.2. Introducing “Investment Hours”. A two and a half hour slot every Thursday of the week, where members of the team would be encouraged to step up and teach any topic of their choice. The idea behind this was that, both the individual doing the teaching and the team as a whole would learn and grow in a fun and interactive way.
