Working within a high turnaround environment and ensuring excellent standards of accuracy are present throughout. The main priorities of my working day ensure that sports programmes within the horse racing industry are designed, proofread and completed in a timely and accurate fashion. The ability to think on my feet, to troubleshoot and to solve print related problems at short notice is paramount, as is the need to be able to work under pressure. To liase with internal and external clients to accomplish the design brief. Utilising multiple software in order to achieve the best results depending on the nature of the project. Setting adverts, producing campaigns, layout design and answering print related customer queries are also daily duties. In addition to my day-to-day job I am Joint Chair of the Social Committee. The role is to primarily engage and attract Weatherbys employees to a series of social events held throughout the year. Creating and maintaining a budget, planning, leading an organised committee and to delegate tasks to individuals are key responsibilities. Practical event planning and communication skills are vital as is the ability to organise contingency plans and react quickly to event alteration. Presentations to the Board to display results, costs and general updates are also part of the role.

The main tasks of the role was communicating clearly the clients goals, both design and print requirements, to the relevant teams. A solid eye for detail and adherence to procedures was also required. Proofreading work as well as highlighting potential print issues was a fundamental element.The ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently was a challenge I enjoyed. With numerous projects being varied in both complexity and production time, required that all work needed attention and strict prioritising.
