This technology is being licensed to a startup for commercialization.Organs on Chip:• Designed, developed and micro-fabricated a Pancreatic Islet Chip for determining islet health prior to transplant.• Pancreatic Islet Chip has been patented and on track to be licensed to biomedical and pharmaceutical companies through the University of Miami’s technology transfer office.• Currently developing a fluidic chip for co-culture of primary tumor and/or circulating tumor cells in bone marrow to study metastasis of breast cancer to bone.
