The goal of this fair is to connect schools with diverse educators who share the same educational beliefs and values. We believe that education works best when teachers and schools are a good match for each other. The schools attending this fair tend to favor more flexible, progressive practices over the "no-excuses" model. Educators will be looking for schools with features such as: collaborative learning, a responsive curriculum with a heavy emphasis on social justice, holistic testing, project based learning, LGBTQ friendly policies, expeditionary learning, and Restorative Justice practices. As Alumni Manager, I am responsible for all facets of NYC Outward Bound’s alumni support initiatives including management of a caseload of prioritized alumni, organizing events and opportunities for recent graduates, collaborating with high school college counselors, developing relationships with college admissions counselors and opportunity program staff, and implementing a targeted, college success text campaign to over 3,000 students. Additionally, I manage data and reporting related to NYC Outward Bound alumni.

Teach algebra and English Language Arts, Grades 9-12.Act as advisor for the Social Justice Club, Gender/Sexuality Alliance, and Big Sister Club.Create an interdisciplinary LGBTQ advisory curriculum, implemented annually school wide.Plan and facilitate bi-weekly school wide assembly.Organize annual field trip to the CLPP reproductive justice conference at Hampshire College.

Coordinated art programming.Designed and conducted workshops for campers.Successfully initiated and coordinated collaborative projects and professional development for staff and volunteers.
