Spencer’s Retail is a $400mn business of RPSG Group, a leading business conglomerate in India.My role is to lead a team with four regional managers, 40 stores managers & over 400 sales associates with a business of INR100cr ($15mn) for hypermarkets and supermarkets across India.□ Lead the launch and implementation activity of Spencer’s own apparel brand (2Bme) in 37 hypermarkets of the company□ Improved overall sales from INR85Cr ($13mn) to INR100Cr ($16mn) within a year of joining, with 8% L2L growth and margin delivery from 32% to 40%□ Opened 6 new hypermarkets in last 12 months across North, East and AP regions.Cumulative retail space of 30,000 sqft (apparel area)□ On-boarded over 250 sales associates across India within one year, including recruitment, induction, training□ Designed, developed and implemented technical, product and soft-skills training programs to improve service delivery across the entire apparel front end team□ Improved bill value from INR350 to INR550 by executing and driving training programs and visual merchandising□ Enhanced the overall category contribution of apparels by improved bill penetration from 3% to 5%□ Discernable in-store merchandising foot-print- increased presence of apparels& led layout planning (men’s, ladies &kids wear)in the new store layouts
