Worked as a Mechanical Project Engineer in the field of biomass thermo-chemical conversion techniques mainly small scale Gasification-CHP.- Was responsible for the commissioning and operation of 22 kWe & 45 kWe Biomass Gasification-CHP units. Several units have been successfully commissioned across the UK and constantly expanding with more units to come. - These Biomass CHP units are compact and containerized which are easy to commission and transport and can be monitored remotely from anywhere.- Very low initial investment and maintenance costs and these units payback for themselves just within two years.

- Previously I was working as a Research Project Engineer for the management and implementation of projects in the field of thermo-catalytic biomass conversion (project and across groups). - The work includes the described subject area and the acquisition of new projects and the production of scientific publications, presentations and contribute towards filing applications for patents. - I’ve extensive experience in the operation of chemical laboratory equipment both at lab and commercial scale and experience in the field of thermo-catalytic biomass conversion as well as in the scientific project management.

- My core responsibility in this role is to provide a range of mechanical engineering services, including designing solutions for industrial automation, test equipment and mechanical handling.- My other responsibilities lies in the mechanical aspects of Projects through all phases from conception to commissioning, including planning, costing and reviewing.- Effectively contribute to the management and day to day running of the projects that I am involved in.- Other general responsibilities include generation of Project related documentation from information gathered & supplied by the Sales team, the Client and data collected during the course of the project.- I am actively involved in organizing & attending internal and external meetings, both Project and Company related.- The role also demands me to adhere to client specifications and client liaison at an engineering level providing the best service where ever possible for successful completion of the projects.- Frequently visiting client's site to service, or diagnose a fault within their machinery/equipments.

My areas of Research include: Thermo-chemical conversion techniques such as Pyrolysis, Gasification & combustion of various Biomass derived feedstocks The process consists of Bio-oils' production, their Physio-chemical characterisation & upgradation at lab scale using various analytical instruments Once these upgraded oils meet the fuel specification standards, I use them to carry out endurance tests in Internal combustion stationary Diesel engines for the development & improvement of Biomass powered Combined Heat and Power (CHP) generation systems Also, I perform the in-cylinder combustion Computational modelling using ANSYS-Workbench & Engine parameters' optimisation using softwares such as LabVIEW & KISTLER

As a Quality Control engineer, my exposure was in a wide range of technical engineering disciplines. The role required intricate problem solving abilities, my responsibilities enabled me to gain practical experience on analysing defective components followed by devising strategies for prevention. I also generated quality reports aimed towards clients. These reports would state the issues discovered along with implementation. Having direct communication with major clients, I was responsible for advising on technicalities and progress reports.

I worked within the calibration and maintenance department where I delivered support to the team in relation to failure modes analysis & testings of Locomotive Bearings & Wheel-Axle systems.I was responsible for supervising & supporting the team to perform the Periodic Over-hauling for each single Locomotive’s Wheel-Axle assembly which was generally carried out every 18months. This included cleaning, inspection and repairs of Heavy caged Roller bearings along with Non-Destructive Ultra-Sonic testings to detect any surface flaws if required. If at any stage during this inspection, any surface flaws detected the whole bearing assembly was discarded and the Wheels were then fitted with a complete new assembly. Finally, a proper inspection report was prepared and was filed in for official records.
