As a Communication Specialist, my primary responsibility was the formulation and implementation of communication strategy and policy for Jal Marg Vikas Project. Other responsibilities included stakeholder outreach; advising the Project Management Unit on engaging with print and electronic media, including arranging press briefings, interviews, conferences and workshop; preparing strategies for promotional campaigns on inland water transport and preparation of a web package for the project, including use of social media as communication tool.

I was responsible for managing the city bureau in absence of the Bureau Chief, apart from coming up with ideas for ‘HT for Delhi’ packages, and mentoring trainee reporters.Covered the Delhi Development Authority and real estate trends in Delhi NCR. Broke most stories on the DDA’s Housing Scheme 2014. A special series on the bad state of DDA flats resulted in the agency changing its policy for the first time and agreeing to maintain flats for 30 years after allotment. Broke and then extensively covered stories on DDA selling flats without basic amenities under its 2010 housing scheme.Covered Airport and aviation related stories extensively. I have broken many stories in the beat and have also done exclusives while reporting routine stories like the Faridabad air crash, construction and commissioning of IGI Airport’s Terminal 3, Terminal 1D, new runway etc.Covered Transport and Municipal Corporation of Delhi from February 2006 to May 2008. Covered the Commissioning of Delhi’s first BRT corridor and broke many stories. Also covered phasing out of Blueline buses extensively.
