I completed my BA in Linguistics with a citation in American Sign Language (ASL) in May 2023. For seven months, I worked as a Staff Organizer at the International Union, UAW, on a large unionization campaign of over 6000 workers. My core competencies include time management, proofreading, and editing.As a Staff Organizer, I learned, interpreted, and applied relevant labor law to ensure the campaign’s compliance and advise workers. I also synthesized research and created info-graphic resources for use across the workplace. I maintained a confidential database of thousands of workers and delegated organizing work to worker-leaders. In addition, I conducted summer thesis research on German Sign Language and phrase final lengthening, which enhanced my linguistic skills and analytical abilities. I am passionate about social justice and workers' rights, and I can bring diverse perspectives and experiences to the team. I am eager to collaborate with and support others in achieving positive outcomes for the organization and the community.
