In this position, i worked with Dr. Amanda Hamel in the psychology department and assisted her with Behavioral Neuroscience 330 during my final year at UMass.In this role i was the designated note taker for the course, I helped proctor course examinations, held weekly office hours, and lead review sessions for students in the class. In this role i was also able to continue to expand my psychology knowledge around the biological and psychological components behind human behavior and psychopathology.

Duties:• Facilitated one-hour floor meetings twice a week with high school residents. • Hosted a weekly sustainability workshop: lead discussions and activities around this topic.• Worked with professional staff to run a smooth check-in process for the program's incoming residents.• Checked 15-20 residents in for 10pm curfew each night and answered any questions or concerns. • Conducted building rounds while "On Duty" and responded to situations as needed.

I worked as a Research Assistant in the Cognition and Action Lab lead by Dr. Rebecca Spencer. In this position i would assist in conducting overnight sleep studies on participants. Assistance included: helping participants fill out paperwork, applying the EEG sleep cap, running the memory task for participants, and making sure their stay during the study was comfortable. The project i assisted on focused on the relationship between memory consolidation and sleep, and if certain stimuli could impact memory consolidation via the hippocampus during slow wave sleep.
