The position has a focus on both MWC's Drinking water Initiatives and the Water School Program.It encompasses identifying and recruiting organizational participants for Water SchoolPlanning, logistics and running of Water School.Supporting the strong participation from cohort members in all aspects of Water Schoolincluding training, field trips, project development and implementation and evaluation and site visits to Water School project locations.Drinking Water Initiative, includes facilitating and organizing Drinking Water Initiative meetings, crafting meeting agendas and conducting outreach activities. Control invasive species on 45 acres of riparian land along the Milwaukee River. In addition, planting native trees and plants and working with public partners for community outreach opportunities. The ideal outcome is a greater plant diversity, improve habitat quality and water quality due to the reduced sedimentation, as well as engagement with stakeholders and the public.

Hank Aaron State Trail Invasive species removal; Using various techniques to eradicate the population of nonnative plant species that are both safe and effective to preserve the habitat native plant species need to survive.Trail Maintenance; Maintaining of overall appearance and upkeep of Trail to assure accessibility.Public Communication/Outreach; Interaction with the public at various community events to assist with efforts to inform the community of Trail events and volunteer opportunities.
