I assisted game management for VCU sports, managing practice facilities, locker rooms, and signage. This involved set up and breakdown, meeting visiting teams, and meeting officials. I gained experience creating visiting team guides and game day checklists for each facility.

As a supervisor I was responsible for communicating with parents, camp counselors, and our director of operations. Each week I planned activities to keep the kids excited and engaged. I oversaw daily operations and assigned counselors with different responsibilities each day.

I was an intern with Internal Operations and Event Management. In the office, I created visiting team guides, travel itineraries, and game day binders which included scripts, timelines, and staff information. I was the game manager for field hockey, and I worked football, gymnastics, and basketball. As game manager I was responsible for set up and break down, unlocking checking the facility, and game day staff.

I had the opportunity to be a Teachers assistant (TA) for the Exploration School at Yale University's Focus Sports Management Class. I was lucky enough to work alongside two industry professionals to introduce high school students from around the world to Sports Management. This is a very intense program in which students are essentially enrolled in a crash course college class. This position has enhanced my leadership, communication, management, public speaking and teaching skills; and has challenged me in so many ways that I never expected. Being a part of Exploration at Yale has been incredibly rewarding for me. I was put in a new position of sharing my knowledge, but I was also able to learn so much from my students as well as the rest of the Sports Management Focus Instructors Staff.

As an intern, I worked directly with the Director of Operations. I completed evaluations of the classes we offer and our staff. In addition, I tabled at health fairs to market Competitive Edge and assisted in the execution of our annual track tournament. A few of my big projects included a website analysis and creating a recruiting guide for athletes and their parents.
