I’m part of the UX design team, and as such responsible for the content in our UI designs; you could say I design with words. I strengthen the quality of our products by making sure the words in the UI are consistent, concise, and directional, and make functionalities and modals easy to understand. I soften the blow in errors, warnings, and empty states by making them reassuring, actionable and easy to move on from. I make sure our help texts are contextual, useful, and short. I conduct user research to understand the contexts our products are used in, so we can make them even better for the people who use them.I perform content reviews where I look at the bigger picture of the whole product to make sure that we call things by the same name throughout the user experience. A shovel should be called a shovel everywhere in the UI and not occasionally a spoon or a digging tool.I build a content design system to support our processes, and ensure long term documentation of our content design choices and philosophy.
