New Mexico Open Elections (NMOE) was founded in 2015 and is a movement of diverse individuals whose mission is to listen to all New Mexicans and their elected officials and provide reliable information about election reform and representational government to improve our political system.Our purposes include, but are not limited to:Deepening and broadening citizen voice;Expanding the participation and engagement of the electorate;Increasing the responsiveness of elected officials to their entire electorate;And reducing partisanship to further good governance of our state.Our goals include:Advocating for the immediate passage of legislation that will allow independent and minor party voters to vote in primaries.Educating the public about the inefficiencies in the current political system and proposing solutions to the NM state legislature.Advocating for the adoption of a non-partisan redistricting commission so that the power to create legislative districts is removed from incumbent politicians (ending gerrymandering).Ensuring that independent and minor party candidates have equal ballot access.Educating the general public and government officials about the benefits of open primaries and ranked-choice voting.Facilitating conversation and eventual adoption of non-partisan open primaries with ranked choice voting in the general (Alaska Model/Final Five Voting).

Training new and transitioning staff members and providing programming for the premier professional exchange program of the U.S. Department of State, the International Visitor Leadership Program.Providing training on: Salesforce, Mailchimp, IVRC, RFP proposals and implementation, fee for service programs, program implementation of IVLP, marketing and social media, internal and external communications, working and communicating with local and national partners, proposal writing for grants and projects, etc.Conducting project and budget reports for previous projects, submitting such reports to respective National Program Agencies.

Executing and programming the premier professional exchange program of the U.S. Department of State, the International Visitor Leadership Program, which brings over 400 current and emerging world leaders to Albuquerque to exchange best practices in a variety of professional fields.Submitting project proposals to National Program Agencies to assure professional quality of exchange through connecting local leaders with world leaders. Keeping track of programming data via Salesforce.Programming and executing additional programs, which fall under fee for service programs such as the Young Leaders of Americas Initiative, Young Transatlantic Innovation Leaders Initiative, Expo Dubai, and many more.Leading social media marketing and communications, targeting each project and event's marketing to different audiences, keeping up with social media KPIs per project and event, increasing engagement via digital outreach strategies, assisting the Marketing team as needed, writing bi-weekly newsletters, etc.Managing a team of 10+ interns and volunteers on a yearly basis.
