Accordingly, I am also well equipped to assist students in overcoming such challenges. At FOF I label my course 'Integrated Arabic', which means that it includes teaching in colloquial as well as formal Arabic. In my conviction, knowledge on both varieties of Arabic must be improved concurrently if one aspires fluent acquisition of the language. Show less

Virksomhedsskolen (The Company School) is a Danish education service for companies. Here I conduct courses and lectures for companies that want to do business in the Arab World. My lectures focus on a broad range of topics: Business culture, living in the Middle East, Islam's role in the region, economy and political circumstances. Preparing for the lectures, I critically analyse the specific needs of the company, their particular business and the Arab country they work in.

The program involved training the refugees in leadership, conflict resolution, project coordination etc.By the end of the project, I supervised the participants as they led and organised DFUNK's annual Summer vacation, where young people between 16 and 30 years of age - with as well as without refugee background - spend their vacation together. In the fall of 2013 when I interned, the embassy in Abu Dhabi was deeply involved with assisting the Danish government with analyses on the highly contradictory and complicated political process of the Arab Spring. Contributing to these analyses, I benefitted from my "comprehensive knowledge of the history as well as the current challenges facing the Middle East" (quote by Poul Hoiness, Ambassador of Denmark to the UAE and Qatar, taken from recommendation)During my internship I also… Show more In the fall of 2013 when I interned, the embassy in Abu Dhabi was deeply involved with assisting the Danish government with analyses on the highly contradictory and complicated political process of the Arab Spring. Contributing to these analyses, I benefitted from my "comprehensive knowledge of the history as well as the current challenges facing the Middle East" (quote by Poul Hoiness, Ambassador of Denmark to the UAE and Qatar, taken from recommendation)During my internship I also played a crucial part in the planning and execution of the official visit to the UAE by His Royal Highness The Crown Prince of Denmark, and the Danish Minister for Development Cooperation, Mr. Rasmus Helveg Petersen in January 2014. The visit was arranged on very short notice so the work pressure was quite intense. According to the ambassador, I made a "herculean effort". I also provided the ambassador with valuable assistance when he negotiated the MOU between the UAE and Denmark on renewable energy. The agreement was signed by the Danish Minister for Development Cooperation during the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week in January 2014. Show less
