I had the great opportunity to do my internship at WWF-NL. I worked on stakeholder participation and the enhancement of Nature-based Solutions (NbS) in Europe for the Merlin Project as part of the WWF team. The MERLIN project is a ‘research and innovation action’ funded by the European Commission. The project was developed as a response to the alarming.

Assessing, quantifying, and valuing the effect of anthropogenic and climate change pressures on the vulnerability of coastal lagoons. Together with Deltares, I did an extensive study on coastal lagoon vulnerability. Through this thesis, I gained an appreciation for the role these ecosystems play in preserving the world's biodiversity and the significance.

For my internship at VPdelta it was my responsibility to take a wave measuring buoy to Myanmar and for me deploy it in front of the coast of Yangon. This wave measuring buoy was called the Wavedroid and it was part of the project "Leapfrogging Delta Management in Myanmar; Showcase Smart Information Solutions in the Ayeyarwady Delta.”

For my thesis at Royal HaskoningDHV it was my responsibility to take a wave measuring buoy to Myanmar and for me deploy it in front of the coast of Yangon. With data gathered from the buoy and wave data from NOAA, I analysed prevailing wave patterns and the possibilities for the design of offshore structures.
