- Secured $189,000 of salary funding over three years (MSFHR Trainee Post-Doctoral Award and NSERC-CREATE Engineers in Scrubs Post-Doctoral Fellowship).- Received $15,000 of external research funding to support innovative research projects (determined project timeline and tasks, identified resources needed, prepared budget estimate, ensured alignments with the granting agency’s priorities).- Recruited and supervised three co-op students: provided technical training, delegated tasks of implementing the research methodology and monitored their progress.- Monitored expenditures, prepared financial reports, informed the principal investigator and invoiced the granting agencies.- Mentored one PhD and one MSc student: oversaw research objectives and experimental design development, evaluated data analysis methodology, provided technical supervision, provided editorial comments on proposals.- Co-instructed a course in “Interdisciplinary Team Project in Medical Innovation” as part of NSERC-CREATE Engineers in Scrubs program: mentored twenty graduate students, collaborated with clinician scientists in identifying stakeholder needs (including assistive technologies, medical devices, and other health related applications), provided engineering design input in developing new medical devices from bench to clinical practice and product development.- Conducted statistical data analysis, critically evaluated the data, performed literature review and discussed findings with the principal investigator and research team

- Managed multi-institutional research projects assessing engineering and technology programs across Ontario.- Developed and implemented a framework for assessing learning outcomes in higher education.- Co-wrote a grant for the Ontario Council on Articulation and Transfer for a policy project (Awarded): identified areas of growth, developed a research project in-line with the granting body's targets and priorities, assisted the PI in the drafting and submission of the project proposal, preliminary schedules and budgets.- Determined project requirements, tracked the progress and quality of work by contractors.- Prepared project organization and communication charts.- Monitored projects plans, work hours, payroll and funding databases. - Conducted qualitative research and performed statistical analysis.- Performed literature reviews and communicated relevant project information to the project team and the funding agency.

- Acquired eligibility as Certified Associate in Project Management; certification in Foundations of Project Management, Mitacs, 2015.- Formed new collaborations on my own initiative with clinicians at Kingston General Hospital and Hotel Dieu Hospital (Kingston, ON).- Invited to hold a workshop at the Human Mobility Research Centre: NSERC- CREATE Computer Assisted Technology Module.- Designed, created 3D models (Solidworks), rapid prototyped (using Dimension SSST 1200es 3D printer) and manufactured a novel probe for adaptation of surgical navigation technology for hip arthroscopic surgeries.- Mentored and coached two surgical residents and two MSc students to develop proof-of-concept tests and improve performance of interdisciplinary collaborations.- Designed ex-vivo experiments, conducted comparative research and derived data-driven insights to adapt surgical navigation technology for motion analysis.- Developed technical skills in programming and statistical data analysis, study evaluation, human motion analysis, and medical image processing (Materialise Mimics).

Engineering Design and Communications course:

I conducted research at the Artificial Tactile Sensing and Robotic Surgery Laboratory under supervision of Dr Najarian, a pioneer in the field of Artificial Tactile Sensing.We performed extensive research on different mechanisms used in surgical simulators and came up with a novel four degrees of freedom mechanism that would provide the adequate workspace for laparoscopic surgical simulators.
