- Led design + development of our Connect API product. Connect is a high-impact, large technical initiative identified as one of three company pillars and has been recognized both internally and externally as an excellent engineering solution.- Led team to rebuild critical Risk infrastructure that all payments flow through, helping reduce processing time from 15+ minutes to less than 10 seconds while improving reliability and visibility. - Led or individually built several microservices including: Bank Integrations (Plaid), Accounting Integrations (Quickbooks), a Webhook Dispatcher, KYC / KYB Identity verification, PCI-Compliant Credit Card Tokenization Service, and more.- Largely responsible for technical direction setting / driving technological evolution on team or wider organization, and often asked to build or lead the critical pieces of infrastructure that are: complex, time-sensitive, must be extremely reliable, and / or performant.- Influenced Engineering Best Practices across the team and organization through driving adoption of: microservice architecture, technical proposals for larger tasks, performance and failure metrics (statsd), templates for structuring projects / code (layered architecture + separation of concerns), and mentorship (code reviews, knowledge sharing sessions, and pair programming).

Completed various client facing projects, including:- Utilizing consistent hashing (wallet id) and channel concurrency features of Go to build a highly-performant and scaleable transaction replay service for a hosted Bitcoin Node that was spun up using AWS and Terraform.- Building and configuring time-critical infrastructure for big-data processing using Terraform and Amazon EMR taking total processing time from days to hours for a client whose on-premise Hadoop cluster had reached capacity. Also debugged existing Scala code to find and reduce code inefficiencies further reducing processing time.- Creating a rubric and performing technical due diligence for Venture Capital firms looking to fund or merge/acquire technology companies.- Successfully exiting to Plastiq after completing a three month contract.
