Using multi and hyperspectral remote sensing (Sentinel-2 and AVIRIS-3) in ArcGIS and Python to help land managers respond to invasive Goldspotted Oak Borer in the Santa Clarita Valley and Santa Monica Mountains. Specifically, I am involved in a suitability analysis to identify areas at high risk for new oak borer infestation as well as a historical timeseries using NDVI to better understand the infestation spread prior to its discovery in 2023.

Led 1 and 2 night backpacking trips for bunks of 12 kids ages 10-13 in Yosemite and nearby wildernesses. Also led the challenge ropes course for bunks ages 7-17 for full days. On wilderness trips, I was in charge of everything, from risk assessment and medical treatment, to planning and cooking meals, to leading intentional activities for group bonding, leave-no-trace, and other nature appreciation. I also led 1 night car camping trips for kids aged 7-9. In total led ~70 kids and teens camping and backpacking.For the challenge course, days included pre-planning sessions with bunk counselors about group goals, fun and intentional team-building activities, leading into a tailored low-element experience and ultimately to a high-element experience with harnesses, ropes, belay, etc. In total led ~180 kids and teens on the challenge course.
