The operation of process machinery within various Weetabix production units, to a trained standard operating procedure, to include quality checks, traceability checks and short interval control checks. The responsibilities included operating the machinery in a safe controlled manner, making sure all safety checks are carried out before operating the machinery, the safe operation of the machinery during the production run and whilst shutting down the machinery at the end of the week.

The responsibilities at Katz Dancewear were the manufacturing of ballet shoes from start to finish. This involved using a hand last to piece together the components of the shoe, making sure there was a uniformed pattern of pleats in the front of the shoe before fixing the sole piece to the shoe. It was a very skilled job with only 4 ballet lasters within the company, and it was only 1 of 4 companies within the UK that manufacturer ballet shoes.
