Specifically I have responsibility for identifying potential renewable power led project opportunities around the world, managing PPA negotiations as well as collaborating in the wider development of the new business.Previously at Alcoa I held the position of President Global Energy and Europe Region. This role came with full operational and P&L accountability for Alcoa’s power generation business unit with assets located in Australia, US, Canada, Brazil and Suriname. I also had responsibility for commercial energy matters globally including formulating energy purchasing strategies, procuring energy and contract management. As President, Europe region, I developed Alcoa's interests in Europe through interactions with government and regulatory officials, industry associations and other stakeholders including the European Works Council. Prior to joining Alcoa, I worked in numerous positions across the energy value chain, beginning my career as a nuclear power engineer and subsequently moving into commercial roles of increasing responsibility. I have worked with TXU, International Power (now Engie) and Shell Renewables amongst others.
