ProfileI have been in the IT industry since 1980, when I started my career in the facilities arena of a large para-statal. I progressed through a variation of positions in many corporations, which included organisations focussed on manufacturing, banking, IT consulting and Insurance. My roles included operations, programming, systems analysis and design, project software management, project office management and programme management.From 2001 to 2003 I was involved in CMMI level 3 accreditation for Nedcor Application services and EDS. At Nedcor, my focus was on Project Management. At EDS I was part of the implementation teamIn September 2007 I also obtained my PMP (PMBOK) certification and in 2008 completed Lean Six Sigma black belt training.In March 2015 I joined Eikos Group Services (EGS) that became thryve.thryve market and support Riskonnect, a risk management information system solution that is provided in the cloud and developed on the Salesforce.com platform. thryve is also a Salesforce.com partner and partner with Salesforce to deliver the world’s leading cloud-based sales, service, and marketing platform to clients. thryve’s internally developed web-based insurance administration systems are hosted in the cloud and are developed on the Microsoft.net and SQL Server platforms.I Project Manage all projects on all these platforms as well as the internal Infrastructure projectsI was part of the ISO27001 implementation team of two, that successfully established the ISMS for thryve. I was also the project manager for this project. We created all the policies, processes, and procedures. Thryve obtained the ISO27001: 2013 certification in December 2019. Thryve retained their certification in March 2021 by receiving a clean ISO27001: 2013 Surveillance remote audit.
