The role reported directly into the VP Sales UK/Ireland and was 100% focused on delivering Avaya based sales revenue into a small number of established key accounts yet with the scope to bring on board new business opportunities if appropriate. Working with colleagues on a global level and regularly forming part of a Global Account Management Team (and in some cases acting as the GAM for UK based global accounts) the role involved maximizing the services and product revenue across the entire portfolio of Lucent and Avaya products. In the 6 years I held the position I delivered over $80m of revenue and was consistently the highest performing sales head in the UK business. In addition to significant sales wins I was also selected to be part of Avaya’s EMEA Shining Lights Program. This was a company wide initiative designed to identify exceptional talent within the business, protect this talent from churn and coach the individuals to become future leaders of the business
