This initiative aimed to ingrain a new reporting and visualization standard throughout every development team within the organisation. To further strengthen the community, I meticulously organized, scripted, and hosted a series of events. During my tenure at Npower, I began as a Continuous Improvement Analyst, applying Lean Six Sigma methodology at a greenbelt level to lead high-impact end-to-end projects. Over six years, these initiatives generated operational savings of over £12 million. A pivotal moment came when I transitioned to a Business Change Analyst role, where I successfully delivered the Metering Services Target Operating Model (TOM).Working closely with senior management, I formed a project team and secured buy-in across metering services, introducing a novel statistical model for demand vs. capacity analysis. This enabled us to optimize internal capacity by outsourcing certain tasks to third-party meter readers, while a comprehensive audit process overhaul eliminated a 10-month backlog and ensured ongoing compliance. I also crafted new Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and process maps, reducing inefficiencies and waste. A senior stakeholder project forum further enhanced collaboration, mitigating a projected £10 million overspend within the first year.I also revamped the back-office emergency call-out process, previously involving two teams of around 30 people. By modernizing this process and automating key elements, we effectively reduced missed appointments. This transformation allowed us to redeploy 21 staff members to more challenging roles, enhancing both operational efficiency and professional development.
