Since 2015, we’ve supported over half a million Australasian school students in preparing for their financial futures.Our school platforms, Banqer Primary and Banqer High, with the latter catering for both junior secondary students and school leavers, transform the classroom into a virtual economy. Students have their own mock online bank accounts, earn a fictitious wage, pay classroom expenses, and explore financial concepts including budgeting, living costs, transport costs, KiwiSaver, insurance, and investing, just like adults, in a hands-on environment.Leveraging our expertise and technology, we’re now working to support adults in developing their financial literacy, capability, and ultimately, wellbeing.As CEO, I'm committed to leading our team in driving innovation and expanding our reach to empower individuals of all ages with the financial knowledge and skills they need to succeed. CrashCram provides New Zealand tertiary student with 4 – 8 hour revision sessions in the build up to their exams.My role as Christchurch Area Manager involved the organisation of CrashCram courses for students studying at the University of Canterbury. I was responsible for identifying suitable tutors and venues, organising course timetables and marketing our services to students.

KPMG is one of the world's leading professional services organisations, providing audit, tax, and advisory services to private individuals, SMEs, multi-nationals, and Government agencies.As a Senior Tax Consultant I worked as part of the KPMG Tax Team in undertaking tax engagements for clients and providing them with high quality specialist tax advice and services.Responsibilities include:- Tax assignment preparation and completion - applying an understanding of legislation and the interpretation of case law to produce well researched and analysed tax opinions- Applying an understanding of financial statements and their relevance to the tax function- Preparing and undertaking client tax calculations that are accurate and comply with all legal requirements- Applying knowledge of relevant non-tax financial and business information- Conducting tax reviews of Audit and Business Advisory clients, looking for tax issues and consultancy opportunities- Assisting to pro-actively manage client relationships- Assisting in formulating solutions to client problems/issues as well as identifying value-added opportunities

From forecasting and planning, to sales and marketing, I was ultimately responsible for the success of our company. Although several of the tasks and responsibilities were shared, or worked on collaboratively with my co founder, I was solely responsible for all accounting functions, including employment management and year end compliance obligations.

My summer internship with Audit New Zealand provided me invaluable on-the-job audit experience over my summer holidays. I worked on a variety of clients and projects, gaining a high-level understanding of the functions of an auditor.
