Being part of a team to support the Implementation of new systems into our Logistics Distribution Centers. The latest system is ORWMS (Oracle Retail Warehouse Management System) which we are Implementing to all 17 Logistics Ambient and Frozen Warehouses. Training delivery to end user Colleagues and Site Readiness which includes system configurations are key stages throughout the Implementations. Throughout the implementations we look at process improvements and support the management teams to develop themselves on the new tools leaving them confident as we enter business as usual. I was promoted to lead the final 2 implementations managing the implementation specialists to deliver a successful end to the project. Hosting regular conferences with stakeholders to ensure all areas of the project were on target was a key role.

Managing the Operation and making sure we hit crucial timelines on a daily basis.I gained great experience in communication skills through consistently being in contact with key Stakeholders throughout the Operation. My People Management skills have developed to a recognized high standard due to support from some intense coaching courses, feedback from senior management and experience with dealing with real life scenarios.

Worked in all areas of the Operation including FLT driver, Quality Control Checker and Picking duties.

After leaving school and joining the army this was the most challenging moment of my life. After adapting to this life, it was the best experience I have had. The discipline driven into each of us has given me great respect for other people and great focus for life. Due to medical reasons(no longer an issue in civilian life) I was discharged from the army.
