Head of a client division with average OP of 12% during the period under TNS plc. Key clients included the Big 4 Auditors, leading global financial services, IT and Telco, Media and FMCG brands. Focussed on brand measurement, customer satisfaction and new product development research domestically and globally, our offering included the syndicated Global Tax Monitor programme.Global account director for EY and PWC. TNS plc was a FTSE 350 constituent until its acquisition by WPP plc in late 2008.

Following the merge of three separate operating companies within the group - BJM, Infratest Burke, and System Three - I was appointed to head up the new client division of Direct Services as a Group Director of NFO WorldGroup.Corporate responsibilities included developing the company's public relations strategy and over seeing the development of their media profile.NFO WorldGroup, a £250M global subsidiary of the Interpublic Group was acquired by TNS plc in late 2003).

Responsible for launching The Practice, a separately branded business within the NFO WorldGroup. Grew the business from zero to £3 milllion rev/12% profit within first two years of operation.

The Market Research Society is the professional association for the customer insight and research industry. Elected by my peers to serve as a Council Member/non-executive Director for two terms, the second of which I served as Vice Chairman. Served as Chairman of Publications, Events, Membership and Special Interest Groups & Regions sub-committees during my two terms.

RIUK, a subsidiary of WPP plc, generated global turnover in excess of £350M. Appointed to overhaul and develop UK operational units (collectively trading as Research Resources) and develop external business streams with the launch of Marplan. Overall responsibility for 450 full and part time staff. Board member of Research Resources.

Continental Research was launched in the summer of 1989, and I was responsible for the set up and management of all operational facilities. Over 300 staff.
