Simon Craddock, founder and CEO of OnSight in London, drives a passionate, pioneering creative technology company, providing post-production services for film and television. Over 30 years old, OnSight offers a unique end-to-end solution for 8K, 4K HDR, 3D, Giant Screen (IMAX) and 360/Virtual Reality (VR).Simon is a passionate innovator, dedicated to new technology and techniques. This includes extensive experience early on in HD, stereoscopic 3D, 4K and 360/Virtual Reality. His company OnSight has become internationally renowned for new technologies, following a number of landmark projects, but also has a history in facility installations.Back in the 90’s OnSight put the facilities together for The Big Breakfast on Channel 4 for Production Company Planet 24. The studio installation was put together in a matter of weeks by craning an old BBC scanner into position, upgrading the infra structure and installing new cameras. New facilities were also installed for Framestore and Super Channel around this time. From the late 80's for a decade Simon also provided the engineering know-how for Channel 4 on the Tour De France, as the world's most famous cycling event grew in popularity.OnSight’s first major 3D title, Flying Monsters with David Attenborough, was the first 3D programme to win a British Academy Award and cemented a working relationship with Sky. OnSight have also collaborated on ground breaking IMAX productions for BBC Studios. With a wealth of acclaimed natural history projects to their name, Simon has also lead his team on a number of Hollywood features. He is an active member of BAFTA and has presented at technology events in Japan, China and the US. Amongst other awards OnSight won an IBC Innovation Award in for 3D and an Advanced Imaging Society Technology Award in for VR. Recently three films that OnSight posted were nominated for BAFTA's.
