Have obtained an in depth knowledge of AS/400 batch processing and job management, IBM query, SQL, VBA, Aldon Change Management System, HP Quality Centre, Oracle Financials and many other areas.Since 2013 I have specialised in automation, starting with QTP (later UFT) where I have helped to build up a large suite of Regression tests targeting .NET journeys (sales, self service centre) and our iSeries / green screen processes (front end contact centre screens and back end batch processes).In 2021 we migrated our regression test processes from UFT/QTP into Kryon RPA and subsequently we automated a number of live business processes using this. One of my last roles was being involved in much of the setting up of the I.T. infrastructure for the company's (then) new Ideal World TV station, including creating and maintaining the colleague database for the company's door card security system, and assisting with sound recording and editing for the 'InFirst' automated ordering service. In October 1991 the company took the decision to not replace the outgoing Service Manager, but to assign me his duties and so for the last 8 months of my 2 year YTS placement I was running the service and parts department of a Ford Dealership.
