During My time at Ashford Oak Primary School I have managed and implemented various projects and continue to manage future projects.I have successfully overseen the design, planning, purchasing and implementation of the school network, desktop solutions and back-end server setup. Migrating the school from a 2003 Physical Server setup to a visualized system using Windows Hyper-V Server with 1 Physical Server acting as Domain Controller.As part of the server upgrade the school now has a 9 server setup comprising of file servers, a dedicated print server with a managed printing Solution, Microsoft KMS Server, Domain Controller, System Center Configuration Manager 2012 SP1 Server, Spiceworks Help-desk Server and Windows Server Update Services Server. All these except the the Domain controller which runs Server 2008 R2, run on our Single Hyper-V host with Windows Server 2012 as their operating system.I have also overseen the Migration of over 400 users from Windows XP to Windows 7. This involved creating and deploying A custom Windows 7 image and using WDS/SCCM 2012 to deploy to over 150+ Desktops and Laptops.One of the main projects that I am now focused on is the upgrading the school network infrastructure and WiFi Solution. This en-tales upgrading the schools network solution from a 100Mb architecture to a 1Gb solution. Along with planing and implementing a Ruckus WiFi System for the school with 15 Managed AP's and one Zone Director.As the only IT Technician on-site I also log, prioritize and resolve any technical issues that arise within the school, I manage the schools ICT Budget, Update the schools website and digital signage system.Reporting to the Head Teacher and School Business Manager I enjoy the daily challenges this roles brings and have learn several skills whilst in the this post.
