Simon was also responsible for supporting the lead static engineer and, therefore, assisted and lead on other packages including: Electric Heaters, Tanks, Pig Launchers and Receivers and Shell and Tube Heat Exchangers. Simon spent time working in the Baku office and presented training courses to aid the development of the SOCAR-KBR Baku team. In addition, Simon was involved in meetings with the client in Baku, BCMs with equipment suppliers and was responsible for liaising with the client-based procurement team.Mechanical Engineer - Absheron Project (March 2019)EPS for a gas processing platform connected to the Oil Rocks facilities, about 100km South-East of Baku. Simon was responsible for organizing the clarifications and qualifications of Pig Receiver bids. This required constant communication with procurement to determine whether Suppliers were qualified and adhered to project requirements. In addition, a Technical Bid Evaluation had to be completed, showing the advantages and disadvantages of each Suppliers technical bids. Simon was also responsible for creating requisitions, datasheets and analysing client comments to progress the development of the project. Show less
