I'm a senior subject leader in a secondary school in the east of England; I've taught for over 25 years in several schools. My doctoral project investigated the influence of a newly-formed Teaching School Alliance on serving teachers’ professional development. My research interests include educational leadership; collaboration for system improvement between teachers and between schools; and the challenges of securing effective professional development for classroom teachers. I lead research & development in my own school with a strong focus on practitioner enquiry and teacher agency.
