As a sole trader everything from budgeting to risk management, project trouble shooting to job quoting, client liaising, both existing and future clients, and many other skills which I had previously learned with 8+ years in the industry come to the forefront when setting up a new small business. The events industry is built on individuals who understand that there are no excuses when it comes to completing a job on time. "The show must go on" is the saying and it is true, do whatever needs to be done to get the show working. From this point of view time management is crucial to ensuring project criteria is met and all stake holders are happy in the process. Working as part of a team is required no matter the size of the job, and working building a company to support myself has shown me that team building is key. With the aim of providing the most effective, efficient and creative solutions PCC matches ideas and concepts to the correct technology for captivating events. With events ranging from technical support to full solutions some of the projects I have been involved in are:- B20 Australia Summit, Sydney. Acting as team leader. Providing networking and communication between all event spaces for a client base of 500+ with a team of 8 people and liaising with many key stake holders from Telstra, CBA, many politicians, and ASIO.- NBN community vehicle deployment. Acting as point of contact and senior technician. Working with the NBN to design, fit out and maintain a fleet of satellite connected networking vehicles providing remote community engagement and disaster relief opportunities where permanent internet infrastructure is not present. - Deployment of TAC's Graham campaign involving the setup, calibration and service of a mobile augmented reality customer experience throughout Victoria. - Developing a traffic control management system for vehicles (inc busses, trucks and cars) and pedestrians, involving the use of traffic lights and signal controllers at a major intersection at the Falls Festival Lorne, 2017.

Specialising in LED screens our goal is to supply the right technology, support and solution every time.I was brought onboard as a LED screen technician during the busy Spring Carnival and Australian Open summer of 2014/15, initially my roll was as a hands on technician but as time progressed the need for a more hands off approach was required, to manage others and train junior members in safe practices and practical approaches. Every year Mediatec supplies video and communication solutions for events, to name a few such as:- the Victorian Spring Carnival- the Australian Open- Clipsal500- the GoodFriday appeal- the Logies- and many more.My role at Mediatec is based around being a Senior Technician and assistant Project Manager requiring skills in:- Team management- Safety management- On job training- Project management- Client and stakeholder management

Having experienced a planning role at Mondelez for a short period an opportunity arose when the previous team leader was offered a position on a project and I was asked to step up to fill his shoes alongside continuing my current role. This previous team leader had 17 years of experience with the plant so the knowledge gap of how equipment and processes were handled needed to be filled quickly. I feel working with a trades workforce is all about trust and the 3 months prior to this role I was able to build a strong connection with all members of the team. This role included planning for maintenance, investigation of breakdowns, day to day running of a team of 11, team briefing and debriefing tasks, daily area meetings, reporting to senior management, leave and staff planning, payroll and many other tasks. This role has given me the opportunity to grow in my understanding of how an industrial plant works, through both electrical, sensor, actuator and motor drives for example and network infrastructure, PLC, critical control network infrastructure and virtual machine management. Mondelez is heavily integrated in the SAP network and through this role I have gained a solid understanding of notification creation, work order planning and purchasing and stock management while being able to generate reports to ensure effective use of my teams time.

I was hired at Mondelez Ringwood to manage and facilitate planning for electrical maintenance including planned shutdowns, planned maintenance projects and developing plans for reactive maintenance tasks. Working with a team of 11 electricians this role required an agile outlook to work alongside an always changing production schedule and outside contractors to ensure the continued function of an aging plant

During my time with Big Picture I have toured with many large bands throughout Australia and New Zealand setting up video systems inc LED screens, projection and camera systems. Working solo on some tasks and also teams from 5 to 50 people, each day in the events industry is a new job which brings its own challenges and this role requires the ability to adapt to new situations where no matter what "the show much go on."Working with names such as: Coldplay, Taylor Swift, Def Leppard, JLo, 5 Seconds of Summer, Sam Smith and many more. Also on festivals throughout Australia: Future Music Festival, Stereosonic, The Falls Festival, Big Day Out, Soundwave, Bluesfest to name a few.

Previously trading as SolarX Corporation, EVX is an early stage venture specialising in the R&D and commercialisation of cutting edge electric vehicle technologies. EVX's ultimate vision is to make self-sufficient cars the future of transportation.In the long term, EVX intends to commercialise the world's first solar sports car, the Immortus, whilst in the short term, EVX intends to spin off proprietary technologies from the experimental platform. My role was based around the construction of a 3D printed chassis of the vehicle, specifically a way in which carbon tubes could be joined together to create a strong yet flexible body of the car. While at EVX I worked under a final year student, with a team of 3 others to develop this section of the project in a very tight time frame. The role involved researching new ways and materials to meet the manufacturing limitations of the project.

Working in a small company which started out as a garage operation through until it was one of the larger operations in Melbourne preparing and maintaining equipment destined for all corners of Australia this company grew to be one of the "players" in Melbourne over the years I was working there. Many roles including setting up, packing down and operating of large scale shows, including arena, stadium, festival and club shows throughout Melbourne and travelling around Australia and New Zealand. Other tasks included stock and equipment maintenance, book keeping, account management and client liaising, from in the office, while on call and on the road around Australia.

Setup and operated many large and small scale Lighting and Video Shows and packages throughout Australia, from small club to large festivals and exhibitions. Skills learnt range from power systems, rigging, truck loading, automation, technical maintenance, safety and team management. These were achievable whilst being part of a large working team with many people under my supervision.
