Junior Relationship Manager, Global Banking
My duties included relationship management of in-flow FI clients. These names are generally Australian subsidiaries of global financial institutions clients or clients with AUD accounts. Servicing these clients involves active relationship management locally as well as some direct contact with the parent offshore offices. This was a significant part of my role.Proactively manage administrative issues relating to FI clients, including working with Parent Account Managers (PAMs) to ensure that credit lines are properly allocated for local names and resolving documentation and due diligence issues.I researched and prepared business development/marketing information across existing and prospective client base and industry sectors.I researched and contributed to credit submissions in concert with FIG RMs and Credit Risk Analysts.Other tasks included completing call reports, as appropriate and provide information to PAMs – being the Australian link in the global relationship team for any given client.
Credit Risk Reporting Manager
My primary role in Risk Reporting was to work with the Senior Country Risk Manager (CRM) to produce and analyze portfolio and process reports for Credit Risk Management Services (CRMS), Financial Control, Global Transactional Services, Commercial Bank, Institutional Client Group and Operations.The reports were used by the CRM to facilitate decision making at both a local and a regional level. The reports include information regarding Basel II (Risk Weighted Assets/Collateral etc), Risk Rating, Exposure, Cross Border, Weighted Average Loss Norm (WALN) plus other portfolio cuts required by the CRM.Other roles include the preparation of portfolio, Basel II related information for internal and external auditors (APRA & KPMG). I worked closely with Financial Control (FinCon) to extract, review and prepare credit aspects of data for Central Bank reporting, following relevant regulations of jurisdiction. I also designed a new “General Ledger to Risk” Reconciliation which is performed monthly by Finance and Risk.
