My duties were to provide support to the AV Manager, meet clients to discuss requirements for there events and provide quotes / billing information, setup and de-rig equipment weather it’s a laptop and project with screen to small to medium sound systems. Ensure all equipment is kept clean and presentable and safe to use; ensure that all staff follows heath and safety guidelines which include marking areas unsafe for clients.In 2003 I was transferred to the IT Department and became an I.T. & Telecoms Coordinator for Europe, my duties have included the following; to support a community of around 200 users across Europe in all aspects of IT support from 1st to 3rd line responsibilities and also covering desktop to server installations and maintenance.First point of contact for all IT & Telecoms related issues, be they software or hardware related, solving problems where possible and escalating where necessary within agreed timeframes.Maintain and protect the integrity of the IT & Telecoms infrastructure across the company as a whole; to include servers, networking - TCP / IP, LAN, WAN, Install permanent and temporary networks and telephone services for clients. Digital Satellite Installer (Temporary Contract) my duties have included the following;Install, test, and repair satellite equipment following specifications and using hand tools: Review installation specifications, manufacturer's instructions whilst following the company’s health and safety requirements.Measure distance from landmarks to identify exact site location. Visually inspects installation site to identify obstructions, such as trees or buildings that could distort or block signals from satellite. Discuss dish location and install requirements with customer. Assemble and attach satellite dishTo customer’s property, with climb ladder install satellite dish when areas are inaccessible from the ground. Set azimuth and elevation of satellite dish with a digital meter; connect satellite dish and set-top box to customer’s television. Test installed system to ensure signal strength and reception, observe picture on television screen to evaluate reception. Instruct customer in use of equipment. Attend service calls to resolve clients satellite service faults and liaise with customer’s services ensuring works being completed in a timely fashion.
