- Develop ideas, user experiences and engineering concepts for the Germination and Establishment compartment, Nutrient dosing system and overall system layout/ integration. - Design, engineer and validate environmental control systems and processes related to airflow, plant spacing, temperature control, water delivery and LED lighting/cooling. - Work with plant science to redesign the entire experience and design of the Plant Pod and Media. Replace all plastics involved with a fully recyclable and biodegradable system. - Produce look, feel, interaction, functional and marketing prototypes using in-house facilities and external vendors. - Produce full product prototypes for integration and grow cycle testing, validating engineering and user experience decisions. - Work with plant scientists to develop new and novel ways to increase plant health, nutrient density and overall yield. Situate Farmshelf as a leader in distributed agriculture. - Produce drawings and engineering files of sheet metal, injection molded and extrusion parts used for production. Communicate with and manage external vendors. - Setup and train operators of the contract manufacturing facility. Take feedback from the process and design jigs and alignment tools to aid in productivity and quality.

- Develop innovative product ideas and concepts for one off and mass production products. Utilize 3D CAD programs and rendering software to share with clients and in-house stakeholders. - Visit users and work with Clients to understand the needs of the target users. Translate this understanding into product and engineering requirements. - Produce sheetmetal, injection molded and cast parts for mass production. Communicate with and manage external vendors. - Work with contract manufacturers to setup production lines. Source initial BOM components and handoff to contract manufacturer for future production. - Produce parts, validations and full scale prototypes using rapid, digital and traditional prototyping techniques. Produce MVPs for use in marketing campaigns, crowd funding and product launches. - Successfully achieve UL, ETL and NSF product certification for products requiring certification. - Produce scope of work and detailed project outlines to aid in business development and client pitching.

Taking a step out of the design world to breathe and gain more knowledge in residential construction I worked as a labour hand for the New Zealand Summer of 2014. Being only a two person team I was quick to be introduced to an array of new tools, procedures and materials. It was a fast paced environment challenging both physically and mentally. I have gained valuable knowledge in the field of architecture as well as more knowledge in structural and manufacturing details.

Working with AutoCAD in the design and modeling of refinery, bulk fuel storage and distribution, oil and gas plant and process plant control and safety systems, oil and gas transmission pipelines

Working with all members of the team I was tasked with designing and constructing a free standing acoustic pavilion. Working closely with CAD Technicians, Workshop Staff and Creative Directors I was used for my manufacturing skills, knowledge of manufacturing techniques and general structural ability to produce a working full size model for display at the Tokyo Design Week 2013.
