Having retired after 30 years I have been re employed by Sussex police in a new position as NABIS Officer ( National Ballistics Intelligence Service) starting in early May 2017 working under Specialist Crime Command.My retirement date will be 31/3/17. Thirty years as a police officer with over 25 of those as a firearms officer.Apart from the skills just and abilities listed within my employment areas I have extensive knowledge in the realm of Clay Pigeon Shooting.I have been shooting since the age of 11 having been bought up on my parents farm in Hailsham.Prior to joining the police service I worked in the gun trade for four years with Diamond Guns in Heathfield and F A Anderson in East Grinstead and Ashford in Kent.I am in AA classification for all disciplines.I have been Police National Clay Shooting Champion Serving Officer on more than twelve occasionsWinning the National Championship in each of the last four decades.Over the past few years I have won numerous county championships.In 2013 I competed at the World Police and Fire Games in Belfast and won the title with the highest combined score over five clay shooting disciplines!In the same year I won my class at the British Open Sporting Championship. I have represented my county at National level in Sporting and Skeet. I also shoot for Sussex. I enjoy teaching beginners and novices.I am part of a game shooting syndicate locally and enjoy working my cocker spaniels through the season and picking up at some established game shoots in the area.I've been married to my wife Nicky since 2002 who works for the PCC and mum to our three daughters.
