Led on policy to reduce the burden of preventable occupational illness, including liaison with HSE. Developed the next stage of the successful "Breathe Freely" campaign to reduce the burden of occupational respiratory disease.

I saw through a major restructuring of the organisation, creating clarity over departmental roles and responsibilities. During that time, I swiftly appointed capable people to key posts across the organisation, creating a stable and cohesive senior executive team.I put in large amounts of time and effort to create a stable framework of internal controls, processes, common systems and good governance arrangements. This included leading the implementation of a new CRM system which improved organisational efficiency as well as enabling a better service for our members. Together with other improved IT software and hardware solutions these changes amount to a significant move forward for the organisation.I led on a rebranding of the organisation, to give a more professional look and feel. this included greater alignment with member interests, for example In the editorial direction of the member's magazine.
