Originally trained as a gas engineer, retrained in electronics and migrated to telecommunications. Spent over 20 years in telecoms working in the telecoms dept for british gas, then moving to Vodafone as a network engineer in the 24hr centre.Progressed to shift team leader and ran successful shift for Vodafone for several years before being transferred to Ericsson in the same role.Made redundant in November 2010 when operation moved to Romania. Retrained as a utility surveyor after joining Premier Energy in Jan 2011, carrying out subsurface utility surveys for major property developers in and around the south east, including London. Also Trained in AutoCAD, carrying out utility designs for new developments, working with Premier Energy Services project managers.In 2014 I was promoted to Surveys and CAD Manager for Premier Energy Services, over seeing and running the CAD and surveys departments.Recently qualified ProQual Level 5 Diploma in Utility Mapping and Surveying (QCF) and hold the classification “Senior Utility Mapping Surveyor.
