I currently work as a learning designer at the National Institute for Health Research, working with an assortment of media formats (video, podcast, sub-titles, transcripts, text, images) to publish courses or other learning using Articulate Rise or Storyline, I collaborate with subject matter experts to brain dump their knowledge on a particular topic and curate more material to create a learning asset using text, diagrams, video, animation, podcasts in accessible formats, pedagogically suitable for our audience of clinical researchers. The finished product can take the form of an online presentation or a course of any length.I operate 4K video cameras, with green screen or on location to capture interviews or statements delivered straight to camera – editing using Adobe Premiere and After Effects for processing and editing. I also use Riverside.fm to record audio for podcasts, and animations (created using Vyond).I have experience of using Blackboard and Moodle as an LMS to publish courses online. I am experienced at writing documentation and online guides for users on various systems and processes in straight forward language, and using visual aids created in MS Visio, Miro and Infogram. This is always carried out with reference to EDI and accessibility guidelines.I have c20 years’ experience in technical support in various forms, in both private and public sector organisations.Recent projects include:Having Confident Conversations About Research. Created in a partnership between NIHR and Dementia UK, a CPD course to encourage Admiral nurses to talk to the people they care for about signing up to Join Dementia Research.Championing Research: An introduction for Research, Community, and Join Dementia Research Champions. A CPD course to train community volunteers to observe and assist people living with dementia.Participant In Research Experience Survey (PRES): Delivering The Survey. Adapted from an earlier course, this train staff on the processes around getting feedback from research participants.Find, Recruit and Follow-up. Still in progress - a series of online reseources for staff and researchers on the FRF system used to find and recruit research participants via a number of data providers.
