Many challenges lay ahead, one of which were the rotas.The rotas that were sent down by head office did not work as the layout was confusing. We acted as a liaison between general assistants and the management team.As a team leader, we would identify any performance and/or behavioural issues and begin the process of managing this. We would praise personal shoppers for a good job but also inform them of potential issues by means of a “Let’s Talk” form. During this time, I carried out the general duties of a personal shopper in the chilled environment. I also took on the extra responsibility of calling customers to investigate as to the reason of their complaints regarding fresh products. I would then pass this information onto the picking team leaders.

General factory work in a mailing company

Worked as a driver driving both class 1 and class 2 vehicles overnight.This period also included time spent working for an agency.

During this time I trained as a vehicle mechanic and worked on various armoured vehicles.I was based in Germany for 4 years and spent time on tour in both Bosnia and Kosovo.
