In my 27 years of service, I progressed from manufacturer, installer and delivery driver to being responsible for all production and operations for the company.Key responsibilities included:• Managing the production of garden sheds, summerhouses, and log cabins.• Managing a timber mill which machines and cuts raw timber into a finished product to be used in garden buildings, for both internal and external customers.• B2B sales and support for our large external trade customer base.• Training, coaching and mentoring a team of Senior Managers and Team Leaders.• Production planning, capacity management, inventory management, and quality control.• Purchasing support.• Research and development.Key achievements included:• Improved efficiencies and implemented lean manufacturing principals to produce multiple annual company record numbers of garden buildings.• Set up and grew a log cabin production offering to the company including the purchasing and set up of advanced technology and automation manufacturing machinery.• Doubled the B2B customer base within 5 years winning/negotiating many key accounts.
